Global Doughnut Day brings people around the world together to explore how our economies can meet human needs within the ecological boundaries of our planet. In Wolfsburg, re:studio brings this conversation into a local context — connecting global perspectives with the ideas, experiences and possibilities already emerging in our city.

Two days. Two questions.

Where do we want to go?

On 21 October, we explore different visions for circular futures — from resilient and profitable business models to regeneration, nature and global justice. Together with researchers, startups and actors from Wolfsburg’s innovation ecosystem, we look beyond recycling and ask what a truly circular economy could make possible.

The evening moves from perspectives and research into collective visioning: imagining what circular futures for Wolfsburg and the region could actually look like.

And how do we get there?

On 24 October, the focus shifts from imagining futures to exploring how we might shape them together.

In an open, interactive workshop, we look at the stories we tell about progress, growth and living together — and ask which new narratives could help us move towards more regenerative futures. Global perspectives meet local experiences, ideas and stories from Wolfsburg, creating space to listen, exchange and explore what change could look like from where we are today.

Both sessions take place at the Open Area at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg — a space designed for participation, exchange and ideas from the city.
